Mission Statement

Springs Adventist Academy Springs Adventist Academy exists to provide a partnership with God and parents to educate and challenge students to spiritual and academic excellence.  At the same time SAA encourages them to become creative problem solvers, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens serving God, community, and country.  Christian education is the foundation for restoring individuals to the image of God.

Our Philosophy

The Springs Seventh-day Adventist Academy is operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Church to provide a spiritually oriented education for children. A belief in the existence of the Creator God is fundamental in the philosophy of Seventh-day Adventist schools. We respect His divine authority and recognize His intervention in human affairs. We believe that true education develops the spiritual, mental, and physical powers of each student; preparing them for the joy of service in this life and for the higher joy of service in the life to come. To achieve this goal, we encourage each student to:

  • Develop a personal relationship with God and his fellow men as described in Matthew 2:37-39
  • Master the basic academic skills
  • Value labor, physical and mental, as the blessing God intended
  • Cultivate physical fitness, mental ability, and moral purity as the blessing God intended.

The Springs Seventh-day Adventist Academy operated in harmony with the guidance and direction of the Office of Education, North American Division of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

Springs Adventist Academy Facts and Statistics

  1. About half of Colorado public schools' teachers on staff have earned a master’s degree. All Conference-hired SAA teachers have a master’s degree.

  2. The three-year study of Seventh-day Adventist school students called Cognitive Genesis reveals that our kids, on average, are scoring in the upper 1/3 of all schools that administer the Iowa Test of Basic Skills across all subjects, irrespective of school size! www.cognitivegenesis.org

  3. The ValueGenesis study a decade ago revealed that for every year our children are in our Adventist schools, on average it increases their chances of still being in the church as adults by 5%... 5% per year… you can do the math. Where do you want your kids to be ten years from or for eternity?

  4. Approx. 15% of all public school students who graduate from public high school will go on to earn a college diploma (source: Gallup Poll). Approx. 50% of Catholic School students who graduate from Catholic high schools will earn a college degree (source: internal study). Over 85% of Seventh-day Adventist students who graduate from Adventist academies will earn a college degree (source: SDA Valuegenesis report).

  5. Where schools have implemented the Adventist EDGE protocols, enrollment has been steadily growing as more and more Adventist Christian families recognize that scholastic quality isn’t compromised in our programs, and that the strong spiritual environment encourages character growth while discouraging violence, drugs, and exclusive social cliques. www.adventistedge.org

  6. Community service is something more than what we will do at SAA… it’s a part of who we are. Jesus’ example of caring for others will lead our entire school to participate in community outreach at nursing homes, homeless shelters, private homes, clean-up in public parks, and many other activities each quarter.

  7. Smaller teacher-to-student ratios (approx. 1:12 this year) allow more one-on-one time between mentor and pupils. Multi-grade classrooms allow older and younger students to be paired for cooperative learning (a student learns a concept no faster than when she teaches another), and the positive family-like atmosphere provides for mutual support of diverse cultures and backgrounds. www.journeytoexcellence.org

Journey to Excellence

Our school system has embarked on a journey-a Journey to Excellence. The video shares the thoughts of administrators, teachers, parents, and students about the quality academics, strong curriculum and integrated spiritual and moral content of our schools.

Safe and Sound

Few decisions are as important-and as potentially life-changing-as choosing a school for your children.  In this video presentation, we talk about the unique mission of Seventh-day Adventist Christian education. You'll learn where we've come from and what we believe. You'll see into the minds and hearts of committed Christian teachers. Most important, you'll hear parents from a wide range of faiths candidly discuss their personal experiences.

They'll tell you that a Seventh-day Adventist education means high academic quality. They'll say it means caring teachers. They'll describe a safe atmosphere of openness and acceptance.

If that's what you're looking for, you'll find it at a Seventh-day Adventist school. As your children race headlong toward success, it's a choice that's truly Safe and Sound.
